Training the Handlers

November 13th, 2010

Any benefit derived from DNA technology would not be of any use unless the professionals involved in the criminal justice system or the handlers are provided training and assistance with regards to the collection and use of the DNA evidence. This would more or less include the police officers, prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges, forensic scientists, medical personnel, victim service providers, correction officers as well as the probation and parole officers.

Police officers should have the capability to collect evidence properly. Prosecutors and defense attorneys need to know how to introduce and use it successfully in court. Judges should know how to rule correctly on the evidence’s admissibility. Victim service providers and medical personnel likewise need to understand it to be more responsive to the victim’s needs.

Making your Office Complete

November 1st, 2010

There are many things you need in order to have a handy, functioning office whether at work or at home. Obviously you need a chair and a desk but you also need other items. Today, no office is complete without a computer, if not more than one. In addition to an actual computer other things are needed in order to get daily office tasks done. One item that comes to mind immediately is a printer. Though many tasks are done digitally these days, such as through emailing, scanning, and sending links, there is still a strong need for printers.

Although printers have been around for quite some time now, printers have evolved greatly over the years. There are all sorts of printers nowadays that offer a variety of quality of prints. Printers come in different sizes and are intended for different size paper, such as an a3 printer. There are many manufacturers that offer printers of all kinds including Brother, which also has a Brother a3 printer. Regardless of the company, size, or type of printer you purchase, you will be one step closer to having a complete office once you have a printer sitting beside (or near) your computer. Other helpful items for one’s office include an external hard drive, a web cam for conferencing, a scanner, a fax machine, and of course a phone with a built-in speaker phone. Once you have the right items in your office, getting work done in an efficient manner will be much easier to do.
