Energy Enhancing Research
February 7th, 2008
After our post on Velatol from last month we have received numerous inquiries about the product and where it is safe to purchase from. On option which is available online is energy enhancing research (energyenhancingresearch.com). The website allows you not only to order a free sample but also sign up for a discounted membership program where you are enrolled to receive a fresh supply of Velatol every month. Members enjoy the discounted rate of $49.95 for a month’s supply instead of the normal $79.95 which non members pay and with their auto ship program you don’t have to worry about running out.
According to the site, Energy Enhancing Research places strong focus on the quality and purity of their product making sure the ingredients used are pharmaceutical grade and certified free of PCPs, heavy metals, mercury, pesticides, and dioxins. The company seems to take pride in their strict adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines and regulations as promoted by the FDA. This is extremely important when considering the damage (or lack of effectiveness) which can result from using a low quality product. So don’t only look at price when comparing websites, be sure to purchase from a trust worthy source. There’s no such thing as saving on your health…
A Closer Look on Human Natural Reflexes
January 21st, 2008
A reflex is a spontaneous and often unconscious action towards a triggering element. An itch triggers a person to scratch which is one way of warning that something is putting pressure on the skin such as a mosquito. Foreign invaders such as moulds, pollen and dust mites triggers coughing to help clear the mouth, throat or lung tissues. Sneezing is very similar to coughing except that it is directed through the nose.
Vomiting is usually caused by harmful substances that managed to reach the stomach or the upper segment of the small intestines. Tearing results when dust or debris irritates the eyes but the fluid causes the eyelids to overflow to wash away the irritant. These reflexes, although a bit annoying provides essential protection against toxins before they can cause further harm.
Surrey Care Home Gets New Voice
January 19th, 2008
I remember back at college when we had our own campus radio. It was something that really portrayed the atmosphere and life on campus and in many cases set the tone for the day. Obviously having a campus radio station is not something that rare, but when I heard about the new private radio initiative certain Surrey residents are now enjoying I really took interest. That’s because the new station does not cater a young college campus or army base, rather it servers the residents of a local elderly care home.
Story of the new initiative was published yesterday on bettercaring.com , a leading resource for care and nursing homes related information. In addition to news and updates from the field, the site also features expert tips and advice for anyone interested in care solutions for themselves or their loved ones. Thankfully society is taking care solutions more seriously nowadays and many options are now available to cater each individual’s needs and preferences. Bettercaring.com allows people to take advantage of the web to discuss their own experiences and share advice with others in similar situations.
We Are What We Eat
January 19th, 2008
Nothing can be truer than the old adage that says that a person’s well being is determined by the things that enter his/her body. It is no wonder then that some consider food as the ultimate drug that can lead to good health. A food’s benefit is only reaped when it is consumed in a manner and quantity that can best serve the individual human requirements.
Poor eating habits are known to contribute to the development of diseases that could otherwise be avoided. Eating more fruit, vegetables, beans, nuts and whole grains seems to be the way to go because of their contents that influence the make-up of human cells while enhancing cell communication. They are also great sources of antioxidants that neutralize the harmful free radicals.
Ironing out the Flaws of Modern Healthcare
January 17th, 2008
I once read a theory about our modern healthcare system that suggested there is an embedded flaw with how our society approaches and deals with our health. The claim is that while a doctor or a specific treatment is considered successful based on how well it makes people healthy, basically doctors and drug companies need there to be a steady flow of unhealthy people in order to keep making a living. While no one is suggesting that doctors would ever allow their judgment to be effected based on economic interests, it is true that most healthcare systems work more on treating people than on making sure they stay healthy to begin with.
That’s why I thought the website of Dr. Shapiro’s hair transplant clinic (drshapiroshairinstitute.com) stands out in such a positive way. While the doctor made a name for himself (and no doubt a comfortable living) by helping people restore lost hair, he goes out of his way to publish information on his website designed to help people prevent such hair loss to begin with. And apparently there are many things people can do (or stop doing) that can help prevent many cases of hair loss. This includes avoiding certain nutritional supplements that may be intended to help in certain cases such as weight loss but actually contributes to undesired hair loss as well. Another thing unique about Dr. Shapiro’s practice is the fact that he encourages new patients to contact previous patients so they can discuss the procedure and better prepare themselves for what’s involved. The upbeat music welcoming visitors to the site is a nice touch too…
